Icebreakers

Hello gorgeous readers!

I have an extremely vital question to ask you:

How do you eat M&Ms?

Do you arrange the colors? Do you eat the best colors first or last? Or do you just eat them straight out of the package? Do you eat them one-by-one? Or do you eat them by the mouthful?

I bet that as you’re reading this, you’re already forming your strategy on how you attack  minuscule, polychromatic candies. Personally, when I open a package of M&Ms, I arrange them all by color,  then I eat the color that has the most M&Ms and continue until all the colors have even amounts, and then I eat them from least favorite color to most favorite color (Brown and yellow, respectively).

So why the random question? Well, whenever I meet people, I don’t ask the usual questions like, “Where did you go for high school?” or “Where do you live?” I’m much more interested in the answers to questions like, “When you eat a meal, do you eat your favorite food first or save it for last?” or “How do you eat a sandwich?” For me, I can get a better sense of someone’s personality through such questions and the best part is: they’re good icebreaker questions! People love talking about themselves and when I pose these questions to one person or a group of people, they just open up and there’s always a big discussion. I always love how people have strategic reasonings for how they do little things.

So here are my answers:

When you eat a meal, do you eat your favorite food first or save it for last?

Definitely last. For me, eating everything else on my plate is like “hard work” and my favorite food is the reward at the end! What sucks is that once I’ve eaten everything else and I’m about to dig into the good stuff, my mother will often take her fork and steal my beloved nom noms and coyly say something like, “You’re not gonna eat this right?” or “I want the last bite!”

*sigh*

How do you eat a sandwich?

Like this:

And then I eat the rest in a clockwise motion and save the center for last!

So, lovely reader, how do you eat M&Ms or any of the other above questions? Leave a comment! I’d love to know!

Ahaha, that’s a really nice “insightful” Q actually! As for moi, I grab a random handful of them, and eat them according to which color I see more of first. So if that handful has too many orange ones, I attack those. :P

I eat sandwiches normally – just “straight” on; though as a kid, I used to get rid of the bread and eat the filling with my fingers. Not so simple if it was egg/tuna mayo…xD

ahuHAUh Just loved these questions!! XD
M&Ms – I always eat one by one selecting the colors that has the most to ended up with one of wich color. Then I eat them random.
Meal – I always save my favorite food for last. It’s just like you said a “reward”! XD
Sandwich – It depends on the sandwich. But usually I save the center for last because it’s normally where has all the stuff.

    Hello Jackie!

I always save the red M&Ms for the last! I don’t eat my favorite food first. As for sandwich, I eat the bread on top first leaving the filing and the bottom part of the bread :>

Ah, I eat M&M’s in all kind of ways XD sometimes I only do color by color or I just eat the small ones first xD I guess it all goes by mood.

I save my favorite food for the last. XD I want to keep the taste as long as possible in my mouth. x3 As for sandwich, I eat the middle part as last, first the bread on the top ; A ; those are yukkie. xD

i always save the blue m&ms for last haha – i’ve been doing that ever since they introduced that colour lol & def favourite food for last – or until i’m feeling almost full (my mom LOADS UP my plate. always.) hahaha & as for the sandwich i start from the bottom bit & work my way up – i don’t like the over browned top part that some french bread brands have. yuck.

M&Ms – I like keeping my numbers even, so I eat any extra ones first, then I take one of each color until there’s no more left. And finding a blue or green M&M is a treat, those are special to me, and for some reason I never get them. =(

Fav food – I eat one of everything. Fry, burger, soda, alternate. When I was little I used to think everything had life in it (but I was eating it, so that was kind of cruel) and they deserved to be eaten without preference. Yup, that’s the 7 year-old brain. It still remains a habit up til now.

Sandwich – For the sandwich I take a bite of it and then pull the crust off. Then I take a bit of it and then a bite of crust, I’m weird. xD My mind reasons that by doing that every bite has a bit of crust and that keeps everything even.

    Sorry for the rant. xD

  7. Paula says:

I eat them by the mouthful. And I eat my sandwiches the exact same way you do. I don’t like the crust so I eat it first and save the center for last. lol

By the handful. Not fancy. :[

Although, meal-wise, I need to eat everything in such a way that I have a bite of each part left at the end.
